How is My Email Lists different from existing email products that are free?
Can subscribers of My Email Lists see other subscribers' names or addresses? No. Subscribers will not see other names or email addresses in your list. The email you send to your list will be personalized. Subscribers will only see their email address in the To: field and "Dear [their name]," in the body of the message. Can subscribers subscribe or unsubscribe themselves from lists? Yes. Subscribers to public lists have the option to subscribe or unsubscribe themselves from your list. A link to the unsubscribe page of My Email Lists will automatically appear at the bottom of all messages sent to public lists. Can I send an attachment? Yes. We can customize My Email Lists to suit this requirement. However, our standard use package does not include this added feature of sending anything other than simple text messages. What is the difference between public and private lists? Public lists allow subscribers to subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, any particular list through a public page on the Internet. They will only see a list of the public lists. Private lists that exist in your company's profile will not appear in the pulldown menu that the public sees. In this way, My Email Lists serves as both an private communication tool witin your organization, plus a public "ListServ" tool for mass communication. How many subscribers can I send email to? You can send email to lists of up to 5,000 subscribers at once. For lists over 5,000, additional software will be needed. Can I enter multiple email addresses at once or should I do it one by one? Yes. You may enter multiple email addresses to a list at one time. If you need to update your list, click the EDIT button on the Manage page and make the necessary changes. Can My Email Lists be customized with the logo of my company? Yes. We can customize My Email Lists with your company logo at no additional charge. Can I review the private login "Manage" and "Send" modules before I order My Email Lists? Yes. You can log in to the "Manage" and "Send" areas using a temporary user ID and password we can provide. You can access My Email Lists from anywhere in the world. You will be able to create new lists, edit existing lists, and send mail to your lists like you would normally do. This is one of the most important advantages of My Email Lists over PC-based email products. Can My Email Lists be installed on my server? Yes. My Email Lists can be installed on your server for an additional set-up and licensing fee. With an eye-catching, full-color web page appearance, delivered straight to your recipient's inbox, your email will deliver your message with the best possible marketing punch. List Server There are two commonly used types of ListServs, Broadcast and Discussion. Broadcast Lists allow for push marketing and dissemination of information directly from you to your recipient database. With a Broadcast List, only the list administrators or moderators can send email to the list. Discussion lists are often referred to as "mailing lists" and allow for two-way communication between all list members. A Discussion List is used to share information, questions, comments, tips, and news.
